Dr. David Okonkwo is a board-certified adult neurologist with over 15 years
of experience diagnosing and treating complex neurological conditions in adults.
He is dual board-certified in adult and pediatric neurology (ABPN) and completed
his training at SUNY University at Buffalo.
His clinical focus includes epilepsy and seizure disorders, stroke and cerebrovascular
disease, traumatic brain injury and concussion, headaches and migraines, multiple
sclerosis, brain tumors, and chronic neurological pain syndromes. Dr. Okonkwo has
particular expertise in neuropsychiatry and behavioral neurology, allowing him to
care for adults with overlapping neurological, cognitive, and psychiatric symptoms.
He emphasizes accurate diagnosis, clear communication, and individualized treatment
plans tailored to each patient’s needs.
Pediatric Neurology Clinic
Dr. David Okonkwo is a board-certified pediatric neurologist specializing in the care
of children and adolescents with neurological and developmental conditions. He is
dual board-certified in pediatric and adult neurology by the American Board of
Psychiatry and Neurology and completed his residency and fellowship training at
SUNY University at Buffalo.
He evaluates and treats pediatric conditions including seizure disorders and epilepsy,
headaches and migraines, developmental and behavioral disorders, attention and learning
challenges, concussion and traumatic brain injury, and chronic neurological conditions.
With added training in neuropsychiatry, Dr. Okonkwo is experienced in caring for children
whose symptoms involve both neurological and behavioral concerns.
