A Telemedicine visit takes place online using a computer, tablet, or smartphone so you can see and speak to your provider via video instead of coming to a clinic.
Before Your Appointment
- Schedule your Virtual (Telehealth) appointment
- Ensure reliable internet access
- Sign up for MyChart or Patient Appointment Connect
- Provide email & phone number
- Write down your clinic’s phone number
Day of Appointment
45 Minutes Before
- Charge your device
- Sign in to MyChart and check in
15 Minutes Before
- Quiet, private place with good lighting
- Patient present if required
- Call clinic if you need help

During Your Visit
- Your doctor will join you via Zoom
- If your doctor is 15 minutes late, call your clinic
Tips for a Successful Video Visit
Keep your camera at eye level
Use a private, quiet room
Plug in your device
Check lighting (not too dark or bright)
Restart your device beforehand
Turn off screensavers
Close other applications
Stay close to your Wi-Fi router
Use Chrome or Firefox (latest version)
Have a backup plan ready
If echo occurs, lower volume or use a headset
